Good enough is never good enough Many design agencies bang on about strategy and measuring tangible results but in reality they often over-promise and under-deliver. It doesn't have to be like that. Keeping clarity of communication and the creative output of the studio at the forefront there are three essential client requirements: a high quality solution, completed within the budget and delivered on time. We aim to deliver all three - two out of three is never good enough.
Keith Hollister Having gone through art college so many years ago I've worked as a designer and then account director within my own larger agency. I have now carefully put together a small team grounded with a simple philosophy. After working with employees, partners, suppliers and clients across the years, it boils down to this: people should do what they say they are going to do, and do it well - it's that simple.

A new name and a new identity for this well known Bristol building, a red brick building located on the edge of the park formally known as Castlegate.

Bramleys Restaurant
Creation of the identity for this new restaurant in Bath, serving good quality, locally sourced, British food.
All items of stationery are printed with solid British racing green on the reverse.
A range of menu covers that can be used all year round, allowing the chef to print the menus every day and slot them inside using the die cut semi circles.

Rebranding of this landmark Bristol city centre building.
A blue brochure cover with blind spot uv varnish was designed to reflect the iconic architectural style of the building.
The content is cool, simple and product heavy.
The web site follows the brochure for style and content.
Free standing banners positioned in the show suite demonstrate up to date availability and the excellent retailers at nearby Cabot Circus.
Pre completion of the building works in the reception area we produced a lenticular mailer, just like the ones you used to get in cereal packets. This used 3 images, before, during and after, simple but it had never been done before in this marketplace.

Blah...blah...blah... Here are a few things that have amazed, amused, interested, infuriated and generally got us talking recently.
What a big waste of our time 28 January 2009
Somebody should invent a name for that long, suspense building, pause that happens every time a contestant goes out of Strictly Come Dancing.
Looking just at that one show, the 9 second pause each time a dancer goes out, multiplied by the average 9 million viewers each week, across the series wastes 126,562 days of people's time.
Another good reason to get Sky plus and hit the fast forward button.
Keeping it up to date 5 January 2009
When I thought about a rant for the site, the first thing that came to mind was how rubbish design agencies are at updating their sites with news/stuff. They make the mistake of thinking clients are interested and then update annually. What's that all about.
And web sites should not have a section called ABOUT US, when have you ever seen that heading in corporate literature.
And sites shouldn't take a year to complete!
